There may be several reasons that make your Google play store remain stuck on the waiting for download error. We have compiled the easy ways to fix Google Play Store when it does not download the desired apps in the expected time.
This error may appear as “unable to download from Play Store” or “download pending.” Whatever the problem may be, these tips and tricks will help you in solving these issues.
Simply restarting the Android phone or tablet solves this issue. It works often, and the Google Play Store starts downloading. It is a surprisingly effective technique. Just tap and hold the power button and then restart. Restarting the phone will make you exit from unnecessary apps that are open and occupy mobile memory. This will make the download process much more comfortable.
Check Internet Connection
Sometimes a slow internet connection is a reason behind a pending download. This is simple but not silly. This should be one of the first few steps when resolving app download issues.
Check your internet connection by opening some websites. This will let you know whether your WiFi is working or not. If the internet speed remains slow, then restart the modem and check again. In case it does not resolve, contact your ISP or turn on your mobile data.

Clear Play Store Cache and Date
If you have checked all of the above, and your Play Store is still not working, then you should clear the cache. This action will not delete your apps or any other data from your phone. However, if you remove the data, the Play Store will log you out.

Uninstall Play Store Updates
The Google Play Store and Google Play Services are designed to update automatically. When they do not correct a certain period, you will get a pending or waiting issue in downloading new apps.
To fix this problem, you have to uninstall Google Play Store and Google Services updates. For this step, go to phone settings 🡺 Apps and notifications 🡺 Google Play Store. Now tap on the three-dot icon and then click on Uninstall updates. The process is the same for Google Play Services.
This action will not uninstall the Google Play Store on your phone. It will only disable the recent updates. After five minutes, try installing the apps again to get the updated Google Play Store and Google services.
Install Play Store Manually

You can get access to your favorite apps through your PC or mobile browser. You can visit the official Google play website to log into your Google account.
